Happy Repeal Day!

December5th marks the day when the 21st amendment to the constitution was repealed, removing prohibition. In honor of that great day in American history I have decided to make today's edition of my blog on drinking games for movies.

Safety tips before we go. These games are all meant to be played with some sort of mixed drink, beer, or a wine coolers if you play them with actual shots you will die. Again I repeat do not play any of these games with shots of hard liquor. Even when using mixed drinks be careful, don't make them too strong, and if you feel like your reaching your limit stop drinking immediately. Keep an eye out for your friends and make sure they don't go overboard either, and make sure there are a few designated drivers around.

I think the key to a good movie drinking game is to have simple rules that are easy to remember, and they need to be games that can theoretically be done without dying.

Showgirls Drinking Game

Take a sip every time:

someone says darlin' or dancin'

anytime someone gets slapped

or when there is blatant lesbian innuendo

Warnings: This movie is pretty terrible, it should not be seen sober.

Lost Boys Drinking Game

Take a sip every time:

you see a taxidermy animal

you get distracted by Cory Haims atrocious wardrobe.

Bonus Points: Drink vampire appropriate drinks like Bloody Mary's, or red wine.

Highlander Drinking Game (any of the movies or the series)

Whenever they say "There can be only one" everyone in the room grabs their throats, last person to do it has to chug their drink.

Lord of the Rings Drinking Game

Take a sip when:

You see something on screen that makes you think there is more then friendship between any members of the fellowship

Anytime someone bursts out into song

Take Three sips when:

you spot Peter Jackson's Cameo.

Princess Bride Drinking Game

Take a sip whenever

Inigo Montoya says "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You Killed my father. Prepare to die."

Vizzini says "Inconceivable"

Wesley says "As You Wish"

anyone says "True Love"
